PayPal Business Account is not working

I’m a seller and as a new comer I tried to use Paypal to accept Credit and debit cards. After setting up the Business Account, and carefully setting up the Pay now buttons, my customer receive a message which quotes as

“This payment cannot be completed and your account has not been charged. Please contact your merchant for more information.

Return to merchant and try a different payment method
We are not able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please return to the merchant’s website and try using a different payment method (if available)”

This happens every time a customer tries to buy from my website. I have complained this to Paypal and their response is that my account is ready to receive credit and debit card. Which in reality is not true.

And an annoying message always displays in my account which states “Now that you have a Business Account, you can start setting up your payment solutions by clicking on My Business Setup link on the right under My account tools.” This is displayed even after I have setup every thing in my Business account.

I thought PayPal was supposed to be fast and easy, instead it is ruining my business and I can’t get any help at all from PayPal.

Please help me out here. I’m loosing money as a result of this.

do yourself a favor and don’t use paypal if you are trying to run a business. It’s not worth all the aggravation. It is just going to be one technical difficulty after another and if you ever get it running smoothly don’t hold your breath when it comes to getting your money. That is a battle not worth fighting. If you are a real established business get yourself a merchant account, yeah it will cost you a small monthly fee but in the end it’s well spent money!

I agree with Fritz, dealing with their support team for any kind of technical issues is going to get you no where fast. It’s the equivalent to beating a dead horse or smashing your head against a wall or whatever other graphic example you can think of. I left paypal and had a programmer set me up with a merchant account, Ebay was nasty about it at first, making me send in proof of a valid account but after that my guy set everything up and it’s been hazard free.
